Let's see...Alix graduated and moved to Georgia Tech. AJ and Anna-Grace got engaged. I decided to move back to Louisiana (well, at least start the process).
In a nutshell, let's just say that 2012 was crap.
Oh, there were some great times....Cotillion Week in Shreveport, with AJ in the Court, visiting Southeast Asia with mom, cruising around the Black Sea with my family and visiting Turkey afterward.
But there was also a whole lot of tears. A lot of money worries. Painful decisions in the moving process. Another breast cancer scare (but that is all it was, a scare). Oh, and let's not forget that wonderful idea to be my own mental health professional.
You know what? I'm not going to revisit all of that.
Goodbye and good riddance 2012. Don't let that screen door slam on your ass as you exit.
HELLO 2013!
My dear friend Jan-Olav and I have a pact to make 2013 the best year ever. How we do that, who the hell knows? But we are going to try.
I do know one thing, though.
I am done with planning and trying to manipulate the situation.
This is my new outlook for 2013.
After all, it's the journey, not the destination, right?
