SFC2010 Bristol Cruise

Continuing the saga of our glorious day in Bristol...

Andy and John arranged a surprise for us. They hired a riverboat to take us around the floating harbor of Bristol.

We waited on the quay as the swing bridge opened so out boat could come through to us.

Surprise!! I was thrilled to have an evening cruise aboard Elizabeth.

Now I must say....Andy and John have STYLE. That must have been apparent when they rented a private capsule for a champagne trip on the London Eye for us.

Champagne and nibbles on the water at sunset--on your private boat.

Doesn't get much better.

Something obviously interested Alix.

She has that famous "scarcastic BS" look on her face.

John, Jane, and Andy.

St. Mary's Redcliffe was quite impressive from the water.

I don't think our pilot knew what to make of us.

(He reminded me a bit of George Carlin, don'tchathink?)

More of Bristol's wonderful bridges.

I was so glad to get this angle of the "horn" bridge!

Andy and John's house (brick with the black door)

Swans and sailors.

Big boats and little.

Yet ANOTHER bottle of champagne.

I think we went through 5?

Here's a waterview of the swing bridge in the video.

We sailed past beautiful flats...

...and abandoned buildings.

All too soon, we had to return to the quay and leave Elizabeth. But it was fun.

Life is Good.
