We headed a bit inland to see the ancient site of Olympia, home of the Olympic Games.
The Temple of Hera dates to 600 BC.
The Temple of Zeus (456 BC) , though younger than the Temple of Hera, has but a single column intact.
It is in this Temple of Zeus that the enormous gold and ebony statue of Zeus resided. It was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Here, in the Temple of Hera, the Olympic flame is lit before each of the Winter or Summer Games.

Well, you see all sorts of things at Olympia.
Then, back to the ship, where it was time to use the pod thrusters to push us out to sea.
