WC2010-African Safari-Londolozi

Londolozi is one of the oldest camps in the Sabi Sands/Kruger National Park area. I think it's about time I shared photos of my home for two days.

Let's start with a little geography and a few quotes from the lodge guest services manual.

The grounds are at once simple and stunning.

Walk a little further, and you see the original camp buildings from 1929, when this was the hunting lodge of the Varty family.

The boma, or outdoor eating area is used often for dinner after dark.

To the right of the path is the main lodge building.

Open-air, and designed around a massive ebony tree.

Further down the path

leads to one of the ten chalets.

Before you reach your sliding door, you walk onto the deck with it's small pool and incredible view.

The bathroom was palatial.

The surrounding buildings and facilities were equally lovely....

The yoga pavilion (if so inclined--Mama was, I wasn't)

The pool (if so inclined--I was!)

Everything comes together in absolute...it sounds so trite...PERFECTION.
